If there's no Accessibility, It's Not Permaculture

If there's no Accessibility, It's Not Permaculture

Permaculture’s core ethic of "fair share" means access-centered spaces and classes, full stop.

Let's let go of an obsession with so-called "grit" or "DIY" as a body-based value in permaculture, which is often used to justify practices- on the land and in the classroom- that are inaccessible to many bodies and brains.

This is a creative, radical design-thinking framework for creating better worlds for place and people.

Not only should it be inclusive and access-centered - us disabled and sick folks have been doing exactly that kind of radical design-thinking to create worlds we can survive in for generations.

When our designs are at the center, the next world gets a whole lot better.

For EVERYONE.
